As the new school year commences, students and parents turn their attention once again to study and exam preparation. They know that it is at this early stage of the academic year that they should get that extra help so that students can get ahead or keep up with the work being done in school. Getting extra tuition early will minimise stress and maximise result potential.
Rossan College has been providing extra tuition classes and help to complement the work being done in school since 1990. Each week, small groups of students come together for tuition and support from specialist exam-teachers. Students can avail of eighteen-week programmes in a range of exam subjects. Tuitions for Leaving Certificate subjects are 1 hour and 15 minutes per subject weekly, with 9 sessions prior to Christmas and 9 sessions prior to Easter. Junior Certificate classes are 1 hour per subject.
Small-group tuition
represents a very effective learning environment and better value than individual
'grinds'. During each session teachers will give guidance on study technique,
deliver exam-focused materials, provide important notes, sample questions and
model answers, work on revision exercises and teach and re-teach important areas
of the syllabus.
